EDpuzzle
EDpuzzle is an interactive video software to use for assessments. You choose the video from a wide array of existing video choices such as youtube, TEDed, khan academy, national geographic, vimeo and others. Once you find a video you'd like to use, you can stop it at any point and add a question that students must answer before moving forward with the video. Students must login to EDpuzzle and then use the code for your class in order for you to see the results/ answers to the questions that you put in the video.
eduCanon
educanon is an interactive video software to use for assessments. Similar to EDpuzzle, they share many of the same features including cropping and adding questions. educanon seems to be more robust than EDpuzzle because you can add learning objectives and link it to standards. You can easily print the worksheets. Students must also log in so that their answers are captured on educanon. Educanon does not tell students where the questions are located, whereas on EDpuzzle the students can see where in the progression of the video that the question is located.
